Old Town Express Wine Tasting

This is the greatest way to see Old Town San Diego, adding culture with wine tasting. We provide you with a comprehensive historical walking tour of Old Town, ending and topping it off at a wonderful wine tasting room. Here we can indulge a bit in local wine and cheeses. The guide will go into details from the 16th century from where Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo claimed San Diego for the Spanish up until the Victorian period. You will also gain knowledge in present day statistics and economic factors of the city upon arrival to our drop off location.
Towards the end of your historical walking tour the guide will take you to a nice wine tasting room. At that point we will discuss some of the local wines, and enjoy some cheese to go along with it. What better way to enjoy San Diego than over wine and cheese? We will offer five different tastes of local wines, a selection of three to four different cheeses, and hear a little bit about the history of California wine makers.
The Price of your Tour is $55 per person and includes transportation to Old Town if your staying at any hotel in the central part of the city. Your guide can arrange transportation for you back to your destination with a taxi or town car driver, and you are responsible for the cost back to your hotel from Old Town. After you book your tour you will receive an email from your guide arranging a precise pick up time with the driver from your hotel. If desired our guide can meet on location in Old Town.
Reservations must be made the day prior 24hrs in advance (we can offer some flexibility on this pending availability.) Tours start around 4pm-5pm we try to give as much flexibility to our clients as possible relating to the times. Kids and young adults are welcomed and they are free of charge and may enjoy the historical aspect of the tour. Alcohol will only be served to those 21 years of age and up.

1.) Where do we meet our tour guide?
Your tour guide will pick you up from the hotel with a driver, and drop you at the tour starting location in front of Heritage Park at the corner of Juan and Harney street in Old Town.
2.) How long does the tour and wine tasting take?
The historical walking tour and wine tasting usually takes anywhere from 2-3 hours. Sometimes guest decide to remain at the wine tasting room after the tour, or the guide usually points them in the right direction for dinner and transportation.
3.) What time does the tour guide and driver pick us up from our hotel?
Our pick-ups from the hotels start around 4: 30pm.
4.) How do we get back to our hotel after the tour?
The tour guide can arrange transportation for you back to your hotel, or give you a number to a taxi or town car driver. Old Town usually has lots of taxis. Remember that your tour cost includes transportation to Old Town. The guest is responsible for transportation costs back to the hotel.
